Turbosmart Takeover AtMotive Video End Of Month Meet
On November 24th, Motive Video’s End of Month Meet Turbosmart Takeover hit Sydney Dragway at Eastern Creek. The event celebrated Turbosmart’s 25th anniversary, and it did not disappoint.
They’re excited to celebrate 25 Years of Boost Control and Award-Winning Performance Products. Starting in CEO Nic Cooper’s garage way back in 1997 with two products.
The Turbosmart catalogue now boasts over 1000 products and is growing daily. As a result, they’ve earned a loyal following among car enthusiasts worldwide.
End of Month Meet is an event for car enthusiasts to park up, hang out and check out each other’s rides in a private and legal environment.
The event featured trade stands from some of the biggest names in the business, including Motive Video, Platinum Racing Products, and of course, Turbosmart. Plus, a host of awards were handed out on the night
Around the trade stands was a VIP invitational area featuring some of the toughest cars in Sydney and utilising Turbosmart products. Many high-end workshop builds attended, from 1500hp GTRs to purpose-built race cars and show stoppers.
The Turbosmart Takeover was a resounding success, bringing together some of the biggest names in the Sydney car scene. The cars were unique, the people were great, and the overall vibe was awesome. Enjoy our extensive coverage of the event!
Jake Jones’ DriftSquid took home the best euro award in his RB26-powered BMW. The car runs a Powertune Australia-built 2.8 stroker with a sequential gearbox. For more information on Jake’s build, check out his YouTube channel.
I’ve always been a sucker for a well-executed engine swap, and this E36 sure had me buzzing. The quality and execution of this car was mind-blowing.
Ali’s “4G KNG” from Elite Autohaus won the Best in Show award. The car’s built to a top-tier level. It features a 1000+hp built engine, sequential gearbox, custom paint and fully re-trimmed interior.
The Showstopper award went to Precision Racing. They brought some incredible customer cars and their latest project car, the Lamborghini Huracan STO.
They plan to build the engine, add their twin turbo kit, upgrade the transmission, and convert the car to AWD. The build sounds incredible, and we can’t wait to see it finished.
Romanos’ R34 GT-R “RHM” from B2R Motorsports took home the Motive Choice award. It features a Nitto Performance Engineering 3.2L stroker putting out over 1500hp. A sequential transmission backs the monster engine setup, and best of all, it’s street driven.
This beetle stood out from the crowd and got to love the variety in the Australian car scene.
This RB-swapped HR Holden was fantastic on so many levels, the engine swap, the stance, and not to mention the ‘rat rod’ style.
It was nice to get our RX-7, and daily RB25 swapped E36 amongst the action. Although, I must admit, after seeing all the amazing engine bays, I had dirty thoughts about spending tons of money on new mods.
